.NO COPYRIGHT INTENDED, JUST FREE WRITING. please send feed back I am all ears, and if you think something is wrong comment I would like to know so I can fix things in the future. It starts from where Stephnie Meyer left off, page 264. And yes i did read midnight sun and thought it should be continued so, enjoy (and no not all my introductions will be this long IF I continue but if you don't like it I am not going to waste your time.)Time seemed to dull as I drove back, but it always seemed that way when I wasn't with Bella. It was like that way before I met her though.
But, of course, when I am with her, there never seems to be enough time, it always went at the speed of light. It seemed as if time, along with everything else, was against me. Once I pulled into our garage I got out slowly, noticing it was dark out, but not dark enough for Bella to be asleep yet. So, I was stuck here. I had an hour, I sat on the couch thinking.so many questions in my mind.
Stephenie Meyer Midnight Sun Update
I knew why time seemed to move slower with each tick of our large old-fashioned clock that hung monotonous on our wall, time didn't matter to the others, just me. Because I knew in a matter of time I would see Bella asleep, here her whisper my name.then in a longer amount of time I would get my answers for myself, instead of that vile Mike Newton. And I knew why I was aching to have my answers, I had found out that it wasn't just curiousity, or to get my answers myself, rather than Mike Newton. It was because I wanted to know Bella. I wanted to find more things we had in common. Because just recently I had found at least one thing in common.
I wanted more. I longed to be human so Bella and I could be together. I could touch her soft lips, without having to worry about making her cold, because like she said, she doesn't like the cold.
I tortured myself with jealousy some more. I could stroke her cheek with out worrying about snapping her fragile cheek bones, or her delicate skin, or I could hold her. Without having to be alert about her frail skin. And also have to worry about drinking her blood. That sings to me, that burns my nose.
I wouldn't have to be burned by her sweet blood either. I looked at my hands hating them, for how strong they were, once again.I only envied Mike Newton for one reason, his humanity, but it was like that with everyone else. I would not let the lowest of low get to me. I tried to comfort myself by remembering she said yes to me and not him. It worked, it did comfort me. But I argued with myself saying that it would be better for the girl if she said yes to him and not me.
But for some lunatic reason she accepted me of me, the monster, the vampire. Even though any other human would have run away by now. If I wasn't such a monster and lured her in she might have run from me.
Which was like anyone else. But Bella wasn't like anyone else I debated.
Unlike most humans she was good. This was why I wasn't worth a single shred of her time! I longed to be human again. To end this war going on in my head. If I was good like her I would leave her alone 'but it's too late to be good' I thought darkly. It was comforting to think that if I left her alone she would be sad, but it was just as terrifying.
I hate myself. I was greedy, not good. The exact opposite of Bella. I was a monster for be ing with her, and if I tried to leave her alone I would still be hurting her, so either way now I was the monster I was damned to be.There was no escape now. I couldn't be good.
Because I would still be bad, by like I said, hurting one of the most irreproachable people I have ever met. Probably in the world. It was if as fate was against me to. And for some sick reason it didn't want everything to be right.
It wanted to mangle my fate along with an innocent girl. Because either way we would both be in pain. Did fate know I was a vampire? Because I could handle these problems unlike any other human.
If any human at all had these problems they would be in a mental institution, for life. I was even questioning my sanity at this point. Not only at Bella's mental silence, but this constant war with myself. Would it ever end? It seemed as if there was a left side of everywhere at this point. Emmet thinks I have lost it along with Peter and Charloutte. Rosalie too, eve past her jealousy, which had me in hysterics, thinks I have lost it also.

But that didn't matter, they haven't a single shred of what I am going through.Well, I didn't care. Add fate to the list of things against me. I would fight this war.
I would be the best I could to be good for Bella. I would be what she wants. I would prove that I could be good to myself and her, even if the possibility was next to nearly impossible. I would be exceptionally careful around her. No more mistakes, as I had vowed in the car.
Thats when I looked at the clock. Only half an hour had passed.I would go to her and wait until she fell asleep. I didn't want to be here anymore. It was to quiet, thats when I noticed I was alone in the big house. Where were the others? Together enjoying activities?
It didn't bother me that they didn't tell me. They knew I would probably ditch them to be with Bella anyways so what was the point?
And since I was always with Bella I didn't pay attention to their plans n their thoughts either. No it didn't matter right now I would go see Bella. Only god knows what happened to her while I was here thinking, oh well I was about to go find out. Just like some sick stalker! I yelled at myself. No I convinced myself I was protecting her for the time, even though she was at her own home where not much could happen. I still wanted to be there just in case.
Like I said, I would be good. I sighed in content, then took off full sprint to go see her.please comment, next part coming soon. I know there wasn't any communicating in any form of communicating but that is an experiment to see if it really sounds like it would be Edward Cullen.
Please tell me how it sounds and critique a lot. I want to know so in the future I could fix mistakes.
Next part will be a lot longer. Thanks or reading. Hey so, sorry about the mistakes in the last chapter:( and sorry about how it was so short, and not really classified as a chapter more like fluff.Anyway hope this chapter is better. Please comment and tell me what you think.Edward's POVThe first person who came out of the bushes had bright orange/red hair that looked very familiar. What is he doing here?
Tyler thought. Before I could think more about when Tyler thought, 4 more people stepped through the bushes. And tylers thoughts were compeletly cut off from me. That was odd.I could hear the rest of my families thoughts they were mostly. MIKEWhen I got the invitation to Bella and Cullen's uh ermwedding, I honestly thought someone had put me on the show Punk'd. I mean, what could Bella possibly see in that freak! Well, that was probably a stupid thought because he has the money, the perfect looks (Jessica's words not mine! I'm definitely not gay!), perfect grades, the perfect family, the perfect car, the perfect body (again, not my words!), and now the perfect wife.

I forced myself not to wait for you, not/ to follow you from the school. It was easier outside, when I couldn't smell you anymore, to think clearly, to make the right decision. I left the others near home - I was too ashamed to tell them how weak I was, they only knew something was very wrong - and then I went straight to Carlisle, at the hospital, to tell him I was leaving.' Midnight Sun is an expected companion novel to the book Twilight by author Stephenie Meyer. It would be the retelling of the events of Twilight, but written from the perspective of Edward Cullen as opposed to that of Bella Swan.
This is not author 'bashing' -- but I don't agree with that assessment. She was interviewing before BD was released. So the critique of the work is fair game in light of the negative literary reviews (not fan reviews - the mainstream reviews). She's answered by suggesting she wrote the book for herself and was trying to hold on to an early concept she developed before New Moon and Eclipse. In a sense, she didn't want to kill her 'darling' which is to say she wrote the book centered around Edward and Bella having a baby. As a result - and because she didn't hold to her original canon (whether she wrote the NM and E voluntarily - or with a lot of editorial input), Breaking Dawn was a 180 degree departure in terms of voice, characterization and plot development.
Millions of advance copies were sold without anyone realizing what they 'bought' wasn't what was 'advertised.' For me this isn't a matter of whether you like the book or not. Or like the author or not. For me it was an issue of a rushed draft put out too early.
And because she sold it - she should defend it. Right or wrong. The problem is she keeps defending in using contradictory statements - hence my suggestion she drop out of the limelight and regroup. Or at least get some PR advice. It is fiction. But it's also a commercial property.
I was at a great literary festival a few months back. One of the authors reminded the audience that - once released - your characters don't belong to you any more. That's part of the joy and the pitfall of publishing. Had BD been a stand-alone (like the HOST) it wouldn't have garnered so much commentary. Because it came on the heels of three existing installments - it left her 'exposed.'

Still - Despite her problems, I think the fact that someone else released her work in this manner is reprehensible and mean-spirited. Perhaps I'm not in a good mood, Harriet, but this statement seems a bit outrageous. Obviously, SM liked the book or she wouldn't have written it. Obviously, her editors liked the book well enough (or the possiblity of making $ off of it) enough to publish it.

Did I love it? Nope, I didn't. But to act like an author has to 'DEFEND' her book because you didn't like it is a little absurd to me. If she liked it what is there to defend? Does every author now have to face a firing squad of relentless questions?
Why and to what end? It's not going to make anyone like the book more, watching her squirm, is it? It is a consumer's job to flip through a book and see if it's something they might like. Or wait until they read some reviews to make a decision to spend their hard-earned cash on it. They are paying for the author's vision of the book -- it's unreasonable to expect an author to read a specific consumer's mind and write to please them. That there were many problems with the book is beside the point.

In this case the publishers promoted and marketed something different than what was eventually sold. It's like expecting Cinderalla's ball gown and getting repurposed jeans in your bag. The fan base is huge and she hit #1 before the book was on the shelf. So there was no time to review the work in advance. Girls (and in our town, grown women) stood in line at midnight to get their pre-paid copies.

In order to get into the early 'pool' for the book signing for Host you had to preorder BD When the reviews came out negative SM could have just sloughed it off (like most authors). You don't see other authors going out on a post-review media blitz to counter the negative comments the way she is. And as the negative responses increased, so did the media's need to do more interviews (MTV, 10-part interview on EW, a bizarre interview with the Wall Street Journal, etc.) (Although somewhere else on these boards someone posted a funny YouTube video from an author who got negative reviews - done by the author). As I read some of the other boards - the comment that seemed to touch off the BD firestorm was 'The Rob Effect.'

Even many fans saw it as condescending. She said if people read her work again they would love it. Then Publishers Weekly printed an editorial claiming that the problem was teen-aged girls, unrealistic expectations and 'caveat emptor' and got skewered by grown women and subscribers. If you watch any reality show - you know people have to defend their work. They know the minute they appear in front of the camera that is the 'game.'
